Sportsmanship Rating Guide
Sportsmanship rating is our way of policing clean driving and positive community behaviors. For us race attendance is super important, if people don’t turn up to races then there are no races. Sportsmanship rating is our solution to having a framework that governs this from a season point of view, whilst also giving people room to skip occasional races if real life gets in the way.
Sportsmanship rating is measured from 0 to 100, each race you take part in with no penalties awarded you receive +1 on your sportsmanship rating and you start with 95 points when you join.
If you miss a race you were signed up for you lose 7 points from your sportsmanship rating, you lose 6 points for having a penalty awarded against you and you lose 25 points for rage quitting.
At the end of each season if your sportsmanship rating is below 90, you will have to have attended all races in order to get your end of season payments. Missing races due to drop rounds and having a low SR will remove you from the season standings when it ends. However if you attended all races your score will count and your SR will be reset to 90.
If your sportsmanship rating is kept above 90 when a season ends, your score will count even if you missed races.
This system allows us to give those who mostly turn up to races some wiggle room to skip the occasional race if they need to, penalise those who continue to fail to turn up to races from a season point of view without resorting to out and out racing bans.
