Insurance is an aspect to ZFS Racing that both reflects what feels like a real-world insurance system, whilst also promoting a cleaner standard of racing.
For each car you own, you will pay for the insurance costs of owning it. Be really careful not to own too many cars and end up in a place where you lose more money through insurance than you gain by racing. Insurance gets charged for each race you take part in, so if you own 3 cars you will be charged for 3 cars worth of insurance in each race you take part in (this is not limited by category).
Your baseline insurance costs are determined by your license level. The baseline license costs are the following:
For each race that happens at ZFS, a race steward scrubs through the replays to review stewarding reports and to log car damage. If 2 or more of your car parts are damaged in a single incident, then there is a insurance claim filed against you, this is also the case if you damage another drivers car (and are at fault for the damage). Each claim that is lodged against you will increase your insurance costs, the longer you can go with no claims lodged against you to more your insurance will reduce.
In order to make sure you can own more cars whilst still making a good amount of money for your racing is to improve your licensing level.
