Driving Licenses Guide

Our license exams are a progressive series of challenges you must first of all purchase in the marketplace and then pass. As drivers increase in the license ladder they will unlock more cars that they can buy in the Marketplace. Increasing your license level will also massively decrease the amount drivers have to pay per for insurance, meaning that they can generally own more cars that those that have a lower license level. For Racing Teams, increasing your license level also increases the total number of drivers you can recruit for your team. Every driver & Racing Team starts ZFS Racing unlicensed, which you’re totally fine to drive and attend races and leagues, but you will only be racing in placement cars (which won’t allow you to earn season points) or in rental cars. Once you become licensed you will open access to buy cars in the Marketplace. Each License level is made up by 2 parts. That need to be completed in order to be awarded your License.

Prerequisites

Challenges you need to be able to do in game before taking your license exam. These come from the in game circuit experiences, license test & challenges where we can see your time on the in game leaderboard. These challenges will be staggered by your ZFS Rating, so the target times will be more challenging for those who are higher ranked. You will not be able to take your License exam until these prerequisites have been met.

License Exams

These are bought from the ZFS Marketplace, once bought a license assessor will be in touch with you to arrange a suitable day/time for you to take your exam. This will be hosted in a lobby where you will either pass/fail the exam based on your performance (which again is linked to your ZFS Rank). You get 2 attempts at each test and If you fail your exam you don’t have to rebuy it again, but you will have to resit your exam on another day. Once you have passed your exam your License will be awarded and the new items will appear in the Marketplace in line with your new license level. The reductions will also be applied to your insurance costs for all future races.
