Description

“This race car claimed numerous World Endurance Championship titles.”

The second-generation Ford GT, introduced in 2015, came equipped with compact twin-turbo V-6 that allowed the car to spring to 60 mph in about 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 348 km/h, making it a legitimate super car and a worthy successor to the classic GT40 of yesteryear.

Like the GT40, the GT shined on the race track. Under the Chip Ganassi Racing and Ford factory team banner, it scored several victories in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) that included the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as winning in IMSA, taking three race wins in 2016, two in 2017, five in 2018 and three in 2019. In 2018, after winning the 24 Hours of Daytona, the GT’s strong performance that season handed Ford the manufacturers title in the GT-LM class.

Dealership
The GT Race Car represents Ford’s continued commitment to motorsports. It was developed in conjunction with the production model which ensured the latest racing tech was included from both vehicles from the very start. The racer made its debut in 2016, a year before the production car was released. Right of the bat, it took 1st place in the Le Mans LM-GTE Pro category on its first try. The version here is painted in the same color scheme that graced the 2018 model.
